Couple-Friendly Wedding Planning Checklist.
If you think that wedding planning can be overwhelming, fret not!
The key is to identify what you need to do and achieve at a certain period
of the planning process.
In this video, I will show you how to create a wedding planning checklist that’s absolutely couple-
friendly. Whether your planning period takes 3 months, 6 months or even 18 months, it’s important to observe efficiency in every step of the way.
Step 1.Start with making the 3 biggest decisions
Once you’re ready to begin the planning process, you should be able to start with these 3 essential details in your wedding: the date, the budget, and the venue. These are all codependents with each detail being determined in rapid succession.
Step 2. Have a clear vision for your big day.
Take the time to create a picture and the mood of your wedding day. This makes the planning process much easier since you have a very specific goal. Have your goals written out and revisit them every time you sit down and plan.
Step 3. Make that wedding website
The website should include all of the relevant details about your wedding. Get it running soon so you can send the save-the-date URL to guests. This will also serve as an invitation to your wedding.
Step 4. Choose your vendors
Now that you’ve decided on the big 3–date, budget, venue–and you have your wedding vision, you’re ready to make additional vendor choices. These include finding the dress, securing a tailor, and looking into the wedding party attire. Other vendors to consider are the DJ, caterer, and florist.
Step 5. Plan the parties before the big day
When you reach the final phase of wedding planning, it’s time to give yourself a break by planning a bachelor or bachelorette party. Celebrate the hard work by spending a relaxing night with your support group.
Step 6. Time to finalize
After confirming your guest count, finalize all other details of your list–rental orders, catering, cocktails, dress fitting, thank you gifts, seating arrangements, and meeting with your officiant. Also, consider finalizing the legal side such as your marriage license, documents for name change and others.
Step 7. Go ahead and be married
Congratulate yourself for a job well done! Those days that lead up to your wedding day should be as worry-free as possible. Never mind if at this point you realize that something was left out. If it’s small, just ignore it. To ensure that everything goes as planned, assign a point person such as a maid of honor, the best man or anyone who would volunteer to do such role. Don’t forget to have a great time! Enjoy the wedding you’ve painstakingly planned for yourself, your family, and guests.
